The chains of tyranny are rattling…

Each president, congressman, judge, bureaucrat and everyone who serves or have served in the military are sworn to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.

Yet over the past 100+ years we have witnessed presidents, congressmen and women, judges at all levels and the bureaucracy openly violate the Constitution.  Yet very little, if anything, has been done to these lawless politicians to prosecute them for the violations.

With great propensity and without fear of being held accountable they have rushed to violate it at an accelerating rate thru legislation, executive actions, judicial fiat and bureaucratic rulings.

With each new endeavor (violation), the political class has become increasingly brazen in their actions to erode the Constitution; except, of course, when they are falling all over themselves to make mocking references about how they are upholding and defending it.

It has now become almost supercilious to even broach the subject of Constitutional violations.  To mention a law or some judicial ruling or bureaucratic imposition violating the Constitution brings looks of "are you serious?" and outright laughs.

Because of the unaccountable state faced by the modern demagogues of the day, they know they can safely assume they have no opposition to their actions - no checks or balances to their power.

That is why the political class ignores ‘we the people’ and act as they please.   They pay no attention to us and carry out their strategy of consolidating, maintaining and extending political power.

We as a people are allowed to live a life style until we infringe upon the political classes' power base.   When this happens - your infringement upon their power – your actions will be addressed through increased security and regulatory measures to curtail the interest of "We the people."  The socialist of the chair and the political class offer us no real plans or proposals to solve the nation’s problems; what they do is position political opponents as the enemy of the people.   For example, law abiding gun owners are now portrayed as enemies of society.

But this is not new it has been the dominant pattern in the relationship between the people and the government (State) since the presidency of Theodore Roosevelt and that pattern of increasing statist intervention has only accelerated and become even more coercive and compulsory in its nature.

Now we have the socialist of the chair seeking through various maneuvers to take away your liberties as enumerated in the Constitution under the second and first amendments.

We have a president dedicated to destroying the Constitution yet we have a political class impotent in their opposition.  They stand around either: (a) applauding and cheering on a further erosion of the Constitution or (b) arguing amongst themselves as to what should be done.

Whatever happened to real leadership?  Whatever happened to defending the Constitution?  What has happened to our republic?  Who is going to take a stand - will it come when they come for our guns?  Will it be when they come for us?

The chains of tyranny are rattling louder and louder and, yes, closer and closer....  Where are you in this fight?
