They are all out to get their own, seeking not the common good or public good any longer, but what is best for themselves - narcissism - a radical anarchic individualism combined with a growing balkanization. These apostates have undermined every aspect of our lives. They have rendered the constitution essentially a dead document, calling it a "living document."

The American Apostate is a non-believer in two important ways. First and foremost, he has deserted the faith of his fathers. For whatever reason, he has abandoned the ways of God and set out on a path defined not by God, but defined by himself. The apostate’s vision of order is based not on the Judeo-Christian traditions or the American ideal but on a secularist creed or, in some cases, a most liberal, left-wing, theological perspective. Either way he has embraced self-centeredness, man-centeredness, and egotism in the pursuit of power as the solution to all of man’s problems. It would be a mistake for us to assume that this is a man of little faith; far from it, for he is anything but the agnostic he proclaims, in fact, his religion borders on zealotry.

The apostate has become the product of what he thinks and what he was taught – the Marxist critique, materialism, evolution, socialism, feminism, one-world globalism, anti-capitalist environmentalism, global warming, political correctness, and the list goes on and on. While he is a defector from the faith of his fathers, you will find him frequenting the front pews of the apostate movement raising funds or advocating for his ‘religion’ and its governance over others.

Second, he has deserted his own nation and its ideals. He has turned traitor to the very ideal of American exceptionalism, patriotism, the constitution, justice, our common history, and the concept of federalism. The American apostate would like for the public to believe he is in a long line of American traditionalists opposing American orthodoxy. His propaganda seeks to market him as some romantic warrior, this renegade, this loner, and this rebel with a cause simply trying to make the world a better place – friends - that is total non-sense. This is a man who speaks his ‘feelings,’ which are based on error but standing there in the arena, he tells us with a straight face he is speaking truth (as he knows it) and expecting us to believe him.

His ideology is dogmatic and rigid, tied down - not by anchors of belief and truth - but moored to a didactic conventional wisdom defined by an unyielding faith in man and government, not God. He knows deep down in his heart that he is a heretic and a dissenter, but takes great pride in this truth as a means of deflection. He is a lost soul trying his best to validate a dark, sinister, estatist belief system to others. The American apostate is a bigoted, narrow-minded, know-it-all. His vision of order is defined for him and there is no wiggle room in his orthodoxy. He is anti-Christian, anti-capitalists, anti-American, anti-industrial, and anti-human.

The American apostate is anything but open-minded or the free thinker he wants others to believe that he is. He talks down to his audiences and tolerates no dissension. As a professional skeptic and cynic, he is generally a hate-filled person full of bitterness, resentment, anger, negativism, pessimism and discouragement. His skepticism and cynicism is fed by his sophistry, his ego driven belief that he (or his ideology) is the expert on everything and there are no other views worthy of consideration.

The American apostate possesses a critical spirit that manifest itself in their behavior - they are always waiting to pounce, attack, reject, trap, and destroy their opposition. He believes things that are simply not true, not grounded in truth, and he tries over and over again to project his erroneous vision of order to others. When he is rejected, he flies off the handle, easily.

The American apostate lacks a balanced healthy emotional life. They do not belong to God; instead they belong to some nebulous man-centered ideology and secularist creed build up on a pedantic conventional wisdom (house of cards) that completely dismisses God in exchange for man and government.

While he may have worth and he may feel worthy in his cause, he is essentially an empty shell, lacking core values, because he does not believe in God and therefore does not understand the worth God places on his life and every life through Jesus.

Although he presents himself as an expert and know-it-all, he lacks competence on issues and becomes frustrated and angry when he is rejected, rejected because he comes across in his speeches and appearances as a caricature, uninformed, of feelings following error (untruth).

There is no indwelling spirit in him to guide his conscience to help him, enable him, or equip him for the tasks at hand. He is always fumbling for the right answer, constantly talking around the issues, and never addressing them directly. He is even celebrated for his ability to deflect and skirt the issues. Because the Holy Spirit does not dwell in him, he always lacks a comfortable, sound state of competence.

Disclaimer: The views, opinions and ideas are those of the Southern Agrarian and do not represent those of any other organization. I usually think about this stuff when I am working out, praying (yes infidel - God speaks to me like he will to you, if only you will let him in your heart), or suffering from a lack of sleep. ...torture me, kill me but just don’t bore me with your left-wing tripe. I had sent out literature
supplied by the Fred Thompson campaign. The literature was not a personal attack
on Huckabee or on his religion, it was an article showing and substantiating Huckabee’s
Arkansas record. There was no attempt at personal attacks - only the truth about
Huckabee's record of governance.

I make no apologies about sending out the information contained in my newsletter
about Mike Huckabee’s record as governor of Arkansas. I frankly find it offensive
that you or anyone else for that matter would accuse me of attacking Mike Huckabee
and ‘tearing down the other fellows" when the opposite is the truth.

The article that was sent out outlined Huckabee’s record as governor and it
was sourced and accurate. Perhaps the thin-skins of the Huckabees speak more
accurately than the article itself. It seems that this reactionary behavior when
confronted on the issues is too much for him and his supporters, demonstrating
why folks should seriously consider voting for someone who can't take the heat
of battle.

I might not have sent it except that one of Mr. Huckabee's recent converts
told me in a public forum, that I nor Fred Thompson were "Christian enough."

As I have continued to campaign across the South and in Texas, I have never
engaged in attacking the other candidates or their surrogate; however, that can
not be said for the Huckabees.

They openly and gleefully attack anyone who opposes them as:

(a) not being "Christian enough" or
(b) anyone pointing out Huckabee’s record as governor of Arkansas is attacking him and Christians, in general.

This is identity politics at its most shameful level, more like the politics of the left with
their constant piling on critics or accusing critics of being ‘mean spirited,' especially
when the critics are truthful.

This type of behavior has only intensified as I travel. In my talks and at my booths,
I have never engaged in criticizing other candidates. However, the Huckabees have
no such ethics, they have intensified their attacks on other candidates and those of us
who support them. So it is not that some Texas Republicans have taken to tearing down
the other fellows, the Huckabees have taken to tearing us down.

Now I am just a backwoods plowboy and some might say not real bright but I do believe
I am a Christian and have been proud of that fact for a number of years. I gave my life to
Jesus Christ when I was 12 years old (That’s 48 years ago).

I am a proud Southern Baptist. I am a follower of Jesus Christ for whom I owe all that
I am. I attend church weekly, I pray daily, I read the Bible everyday, and I teach my
children and grandchildren in the same ways.

So I believe I am safe to shout out, I DO NOT need recent converts or re-dedicated
"Republicans" telling me how Un-Christian I am for supporting any other candidate
besides Mr. Huckabee. Such bigotry will in the end hurt Mr. Huckabee, not help him.

I have yet to find in the scriptures a calling to harvest votes rather than souls. I am
not ‘more Christian’ than you, simply because you might support a different candidate
than I, such reasoning and voicing that reasoning is absurd and sinful.

As Christian Citizens we are to:

1. pay for our government,
2. pray for our government,
3. praise our government,
4. preach for our government,
5. participate in our government, and
6. persuade our government.

I personally believe the thing we need most in this nation is a revival - a great
return and rededication to the Faith of Our Fathers - not to our politics. The
word of God must be broken out, dusted off, and a great revival must take
place that will hold leaders accountable.

We are not going to out argue or out maneuver the non-believer - for they are
blind to the ways of God. They are selfish and full of prideful greed (for power) -
they need to know Jesus - through us - if we are to take our nation back.

We do not need 'change,' what we need is a restoration. Winning one soul at a
time - winning souls to Christ will only do this. If there is revival, all of the nation's
problems will be addressed because God will stand with us.

The modern day Caesars are just like the ancient Caesars, they looked down from
their perches (pulpits) of power, seeking to rule over us who are in the catacombs,
those of us who believe in Jesus Christ. And just as in the ancient times, the people
in the underground - in those catacombs - brought the entire system down because
they recognized the true sovereign - Jesus Christ, not the Caesars of the world.

We are to be salt and light, we are to be the conscience of the State through our
actions of payment, prayers, praise, participation, preaching, and persuasion -
we accomplish nothing by telling our fellow republicans that they are not
'Christian enough.'

The Huckabees are stirring up a can of worms not to mention animosity with
their behavior and lack of decorum. Their behavior is despicable and counter-
productive to their ‘cause,’ whatever it really is.

Disclaimer: The views, opinions and ideas are those of the Southern Agrarian and do not represent those of any other organization. I welcome their
participation and their contributions, that is their right under our
Constitution and party rules; if that is what they are really about.

You will excuse me but I have serious doubts.

What we are witnessing is the emergence of the blind faith believers
in Huckabee and his cause, not because of his issues and stands, which
are decidedly liberal and elitist. It is an almost cult like following where
belief in Huckabee borders on identiy politics rather than truth. The
Huckabees obviously believe he is the second coming of Pat Robertson,
the Christian candidate (who incidently was a long way from a conservative).

Please, don't get me wrong: I am a Christian fundamentalist under
any definition; I believe the Bible to be the inerrant, infallible word of God;
I am a proud follower of Jesus Christ; I am a firm believer in the salvation
message of love and hope through Jesus Christ; I am a proud member
of the so-called religious right; and a proud Southern Baptist, but I do not
support Mike Huckabee because of his record as governor, his ethics, and
frankly his use of "Christianity" as a means to building support.

It is my belief that has by spiritual antenna up and saying emphatically
Mike Huckabee is far from the second-coming.

I hate to say it, but what I see is a self-centered pandering politician
willing to exploit his Christianity to get votes and recruit followers.

His actions and those of his 'followers' are creating a potentially
serious problem for the Republican Party.

How so?

At a recent event, I was accused by one of his recent converts (who
two months ago was endorsing the Constitution Party) of not being
a true believer in Jesus Christ because I supported my candidate of
choice rather than Mick Huckabee.

I looked at this man for whom I had (had) great respect in stunned
amazement.

It should be noted that among these ‘leaders,’ (neophytes) any
other Republican candidate in their eyes – outside of Huckabee -
is by definition a baby killer and endorser of sodomy.

In other words, I nor my candidate of choice were "Christian enough"
and my support of my candidate was like supporting the prince of
darkness. This is shameful behavior, it is the politics of the left
being used by the Huckabees.

This, my fellow Republicans, Conservatives and Christians, is a
serious development that the party does not need and must be
dealt with before it turns into a far greater problem.

We do not need a re-run of the late 1980s and early 1990s over the
issue of who is ‘more religious’ as an argument to build support and
pander for votes.

My friend’s assertion took me back to 1987-88 when the same tactic
of religious bigotry was used by the so-called religious right to frankly
smear anyone they disagreed with.

For those of us who were involved in those days, you will remember
that back then if you didn't support Pat Robertson and his minions at
the local level, you were simply not a true believer (?). I ask those of
that day, do you still follow the endorsements of Pat Robertson today?

It was a tactic that undercut the "religious right' far more than it helped
and resulted in years of consternation and contention within the
Republican Party.

I really thought we were beyond this childishness and that religious
freedom was an accepted notion, not a weapon to be employed
against our fellow Republicans, fellow conservatives, and fellow
Christians.

I must say these neophytes who are suddenly discovering or
rediscovering their Republican roots because their man is at
best a 'nominal' Republican had better learn something about
the Gospel, ethics, and etiquette in their activism, campaigning,
and debating.

Their actions betray their total ignorance both about the Gospel
and the political process.

We all must be very suspicious of anyone (and their followers) who
will use ‘religion’ to pander for votes and endorsements and who
will bait others about their religious beliefs –

"I’m not afraid to talk about my religion" –

to bait another candidate and build support.

Personally, I am even more troubled about those who are suddenly
re-dedicated or a new convert to the Republican Party because
of a candidate who plays the religious card - plays identify politics.

This is far from 'religious,' it is far from the Christianity I grew up in -
these people are little more than politicians and bigots using religion
as a means of harvesting votes, rather than souls.

Disclaimer: The views, opinions and ideas are those of the Southern Agrarian and do not represent those of any other organization. They are the artful dodger.

But I digress, Whoyer was speaking to all who would listen telling us that he had been a legislator for 40 years (like that really qualifies him for anything other than being a dog catcher).

Whoyer was trying to appeal to the American people as he was scolding the Republicans for criticizing the efforts of Charlie Rangel to "reform" the tax code.

Whoyer told us that Rangel, the Harlem socialists, was courageous, for he was only attempting to have the government pay as we go. In reality, what Whoyer was addressing was the stupidity (consequences) known as the Alternative Minimum Tax that with bracket creep and other forms of tax code manipulation has gripped the middle class now. And who came up with this AMT? Ta' socialists democrats. A policy that has become an ATM for politicians... but again I digress….

Whoyer told us these reforms are necessary to "balance the budget and return fiscal responsibility to government." He did not tell the truth, what he was doing was protecting his tenure as a 40-year careerist legislator who has never hit a slick at a black snake in his entire life, like most democrats, he has lived off the public dole for far too long - his entire adult life (professional politician). Just look at them starting with Bill and Hillary Clinton on down.

I must say I was about to turn the station when this moron looked seriously into the camera, complete with the dramatic pause - and then he said, "It takes real courage to add revenues when you are cutting taxes." Excuse me? Is that oxymoronic or what?

He was looking at the Republicans as he finished the statement pointing his old bony little finger at them telling them in effect that it takes courage to raise taxes, exempt some classes of individuals from paying taxes at all (many of which were not paying taxes anyway) and raise taxes on YOU –

YES I SAID YOU - The American Rich, the wealthy in America,

1. those of you who start businesses,
2. run small businesses,
3. invest their capital and labor,
4. live life by the rules,
5. seek to educate your children, and
6. live a good meaningful life –

all of you making from $80,000 up!

What takes courage is for politicians to start CUTTING spending and stop treating the American taxpayer as if he or she is some kind of over paid greedy individual who is not paying his or her fair share....

Listen up Rangel and Whoyer – we pay enough taxes, we are not philanthropist!, and the federal government is not the bipartisan party of government's personal bank account!

What we see in Washington D.C. are greedy careerist politicians dividing up the productive output of the American taxpayer as if it belongs to them -

Listen up Whoyer and Rangel - MY MONEY DOES NOT BELONG TO YOU!

It is time to tell these greedy politicians they need a shot of testosterone - get some real courage - cut spending, cut our taxes - return America to its roots, stand up to the socialists in both parties, resign from the bipartisan party of government, and like Nancy Reagan said, "JUST SAY NO!"

The revolt should be on folks, against:

1. the continuing un-enforcement of our immigration laws (the bipartisan party of government acts as if it is paralysed - it simply lacks courage and we should feed it with feed back!);

2. defeatists - American apostates - trying to use our military and foreign policy as a political pawn for political gain (Americans do not oppose the war what they oppose is the rancor and dishonesty in Washington D.C., particularly when you compare the class of people sitting as so-called congressional/national leaders and then compare them to the class of people serving in our armed forces); and

3. the growing threat of the imposition of socialism through the tax code, the take over of the medical industry by the unqualified, and the coming collapse of the Social Security System and the coming socialization of retirement by the STATE.

STAND UP AMERICA! YOU ARE SALT AND LIGHT!

STAND UP TO THE SYCHOANTIC SOCIALISTS WHO ARE RUINING YOUR NATION!

STAND UP AND FIGHT!

EXERCISE YOUR RIGHTS,

THE MOST POWERFUL ENTITY IN OUR POLITICAL SYSTEM IS YOU,

BUT IF YOU DO NOT VOICE YOUR OPINION,

IF YOU CHOOSE TO SIT ON YOUR BLESSED ASSURANCE,

YOU ALLOW OTHERS TO RULE OVER YOU!

I urge each of you to call your legislators and Congressman Steny Whoyer and voice your opinion... today!

Disclaimer: The views, opinions and ideas are those of the Southern Agrarian and do not represent those of any other organization. The congressional democrat’s agenda promising ‘change’ as fallen flat on its face, with a thud and their approval rating is not on a slope but clearly in the ditch.

Instead of the change promised, the democrat congress has intensified its viperous partisanship and, frankly, they are more of a ‘do-nothing congress’ than the congress they replaced. They have totally misread their self-proclaimed ‘mandate for change’ and even attempted to reinterpret what they campaigned about. This is problematic for the congressional leadership because the change they campaigned on and promised was the restoration of fiscal responsibility and greater accountability. What we have been handed is devolution into explosive spending, earmarks, greater unaccountability, pending tax increases, and a continuation of corruption (only the players have changed).

With respect to their campaign promise and how they are now trying to change the subject and skirt the issues, they have taken to parading children out as props (the new barricades) to ‘win’ sympathy for their expansion of government. Instead of telling the American people the truth – that they are expanding government across the board - they have engaged children as front line troops in their assault on the free market, the American taxpayer, and in the end, children. They have chosen to hide behind children, instead of telling us the truth of their actions. Democrats with republican complicity form what might best be described as the true party of Washington – the Bipartisan Party of Government. In a concerted campaign, the BPG coalition is selling us on the idea that they are only seeking an increase in this or that program ‘for the sake of the children."

But consider for a moment the number of times, number of programs, and the expansion of regulations that the esteemed members of the BPG coalition are seeking. Incremental increases ‘in this or that program,’ after a while begin to add up, and across all governmental programs, it means aggregate spending and interventionism (regulations) explodes. At best, their argument is counterfeit and at its worse, it is downright mendacious. They are not honest enough men or women to just speak the truth. They are trotting out children not to win arguments, but to win the sympathy from the public as a means to expand the role of government. This is deceit at the highest levels of government. We must deduce from this behavior that the overwhelming desire of the BPG coalition is to continue an ad infinitum quest for incremental socialism. This Fabianism is not designed to do what is best for the American people (taxpayer) or the children - it is designed to appease their constituents through different forms of boutique socialism. What they are doing is stealing from the future, from the children.

If they are really doing it for the children, consider the legacy they are creating ‘for the sake of the children.’ The battle over the SCHIP program (State Children’s Health Insurance Program) provides us with a glaring example of what the BPG coalition is doing in the name of the children. And let us be perfectly clear from the offset, children who live in poverty, real poverty, should have access to some form of health care. However, when the BPG coalition expands the poverty baseline by two-and-three hundred percent of the base, this is egregious fraud carried out on a grand scale not by private insurance companies but by elected officials claiming to represent the American people. This expansion brings in families making as much as $84,000 per annum. But it does not stop there - the expansion goes beyond children to include adults. And with a straight face, the BPG coalition members propagandize from behind the rampart the need for expansion as a way to help the children.

What is sad is the reality that this is only one of the programs across government they are using this rationale and fraudulent rhetoric to expand government. SCHIP is only symptomatic of the pathology of the larger problem the BPG coalition is perpetrating on the nation. Just as troubling is the inability of the republicans and conservatives to mount a counter argument exposing this fraud being carried out not on the merit of the arguments or in a honest debate, but through the exploitation of our children.

How can they argue they are helping the children when they are in effect killing their futures? The SCHIP program is nothing more than a surreptitious attempt at imposing socialized medicine beyond the poor into the middle class creating further dependence. Who is going to pay for the expansion in spending and intervention to finance socialized medicine, socialized retirement, socialized environmentalism, socialized education, socialized daycare, and socialist economic policies in general?

Who in the future is going to pay the bill when these programs are expanded? The answer is very simple - it is our selves, our children, our grandchildren and our great grandchildren. Thirty years down the road they will be paying 60-plus percent tax rates. Are members of the esteemed BPG coalition going to stand up on the floor of the congress or in a press conference and tell the people that their children will be facing these rates? I ask the reader, is this helping our children? No, it will work to enslave them to the state.

Who in the future is going to have to deal with and finance this expansion in the national debt to pay for these programs? Again, it is our selves, our children, our grandchildren and our great grandchildren who are going to pay with (a) an increased tax burden, (b) hat in hand asking foreign governments to finance it through the capital markets, and/or (c) the printing press (inflation). Is this helping the children? No, it is killing their futures.

The BPG coalition’s actions and our continued expiation (appeasement) are leading directly to a socialist future and the long run consequences will be devastating for the nation – the children. Here are a series of questions for the BPG coalition and their constituents.

How will our children feel about us kicking the can down the road by simply transferring the burden of these programs onto them and their children?

What legacy are we leaving our children when we are passing on a worse rather than better medical system?

What kind of legacy are we leaving our children when we leave them to deal with the coming bankruptcy of the social security system?

What kind of business environment will we be passing on when the BPG coalition smother it with a growing taxation; burden it with ‘global-warming’ regulations; crowd capital out of the market with increased government borrowing (higher interest rates); experience a further deterioration of the education system into the world of secularism, political correctness, and multiculturalism; take over the care of the children at the age of four, and implement tax increases, expand spending, and start printing money wholesale to ‘finance’ the expansion of government.

The democrat leadership and their BPG allies congress know all of this. How do we know that? Because every time they want another incremental step toward socialism, they do not engage in an honest and open debate; instead they mobilize our children to provide ground cover, cannon fodder for their newest scheme. They exploit unwitting children as the voice of socialism, it is shameless and cowardice in the face of fire. Rather than take the hits and open themselves up, they hoodwink children (and their parents) into parroting socialist policies that will strap them with prohibitive tax rates and the growing specter of socialism marching into their future.

As the parents and grandparents of these children, are we going to expiate this travesty, this dishonesty, and these lies? While they have limited oil production, they have also worked to destroy the nation’s capacity to generate power.

This mentality has regulated the construction of new refineries out of business, effectively limiting the output of gasoline and other products over time, driving up the price of these products. The only way the oil industry has had to increase refining capacity has been to increase the size of existing facilities over the past 30 years. In reality, the United States should have increased production (refining) capacity by one-half (50%) over the past 20 years, instead we have increased it by about one-twentieth (5%).

This mentality has regulated the construction of new nuclear power plants out of business, effectively limiting the output of electricity overtime, driving up the price of electricity. There has not been a new nuclear plant constructed in the United States in 30 years. To keep up with the demand for electricity and bring about a conversion of oil to more economic uses, the capacity to generate electricity should have increased by at least one-half (50%) over the past 30 years. Yet, we have only expanded the capacity of fixed assets (nuclear plants) to generate about one-tenth (10%) more electricity over this period and forced utilities to adopt more antiquated ways of generating electricity like coal burning plants to make up the difference.

This mentality has been allowed to regulate the refining process in to a maze of bureaucratic bottlenecks substantially running up the cost of gasoline and other products beyond the base cost of the raw material (crude oil). The myriad of regulations of the refining process runs up the price of gasoline and other derivative products. In addition, we have innumerable regulations on the types and processes that can be used to generate electricity through coal burning plants.

At every step in the production of power for this nation, government regulations have worked to drive up the price to the consumer, NOT oil or utility companies.

To add insult to injury, it is government who is the real gouger - benefiting daily, gallon by gallon - through windfall taxation of the consumer. State and Federal taxes make up from 12.5% to 25% of the price of a gallon of gasoline depending on the State. This does not include the taxes they reap through taxing utility (power) consumption. And while government reaps windfall taxes, what was the profit margin by ‘Big Oil’? Eight-point-eight percent (8.8%)

Disclaimer: The views, opinions and ideas are those of the Southern Agrarian and do not represent those of any other organization. In Texas. where we have worked mightily for years to build a two party state and take control of both houses of the legislatue, now find that our elected representatives voting for a business income tax increasing the costs to all consumers and counter productive to economic growth.

I believe the Republican State Convention in June should revolt against Republican Politicians.

I believe a resolution should be introduced calling for the Party to nominate another person to represent the party in November. Rick Perry and his cornies (RINOs) should be called on the mate for this tax increase on all consumers. This in nothing short of a business income tax placed on business, which will be paid by consumers. It is a shell game. My representative's spokeperson tried to rationalize the vote, but no more for me.

I am a life long Republican - I started and stood with Barry Goldwater in 1964 and I have supported Republicans all my life, but I have reached my limit. All of them from the national level on down are passing on future taxes to me and my children for their ineptness at governing. I am afraid Republicans - liberal democrats parading as Republicans (Perry) are ruining my party!

I will be supporting a revolt.

Disclaimer: The views, opinions and ideas are those of the Southern Agrarian and do not represent those of any other organization. While responsible AMERICANS will be working, going to school and following the law, we have a bunch of malcontents who don't want the rules of life applying to them. Take a Stand!

These 'RULES DON'T APPLY TO ME' folks plan is to not work, to not go to school, to not purchase from U.S. businesses to show the financial loss to the U.S. economy, thus showing the "power" these several million have to Congress and our Government. Remember, May 1, is May Day, a great Communist Day of celebration, which tells us a lot about the "RULES DON'T APPLY TO ME' folks.

It is the purpose of this post to rally AMERICANS to negate these proposed "losses" by doing all of our purchases on that day, May 1st - MAKE IT CAPITALIST DAY FOR AMERICAN BUSINESS.

Go to work, go to school, and hire LEGAL U.S. CITIZENS to do the work these protesters would have done. Infact, if you don't have a job (or if you have a job), go to one of the companies where these 'RULES DON'T APPLY TO ME' folks jobs might be and apply for it.

So, put off buying gas, food, and any purchases or hired workers until May 1st if at all possible. Do your own lawn, sweep your own driveway, wash your own dishes, clean your own house or business, or hire a legal American citizen to do it.

It's time for AMERICA to wake up and send a message of our own to those who think they have the power to change our country to suit their needs and wants. Lee

Who is to blame for the current oil Crisis? Just look in the Mirror.

I am truly amazed at the complete economic ignorance of even those who claim to be free market conservatives.

This absolute stupidity was driven home to me by a 'letter' from the American Family Association and its founder Donald E. Wilmon. NOW don't panic, I support Wilmon and the AFA on the moral and cultural issues they take up and champion.

However, Wilmon's letter could have just as easily been written by Charlie Shumer, the socialist demagogue senator from New York.

Its thrust was to blame the oil companies for high oil prices. And I was truly stunned when the President of the United States stood in front of the American people and called for investigations of the Oil Companies for possible price gouging.

Does anyone have an education any more? The price of gasoline is the direct result of market conditions - namely, (1) technical considerations (supply and demand) and (2) fundamental considerations (like who controls the production of oil world - wide).

Oil is a scare resource subject to the available supply and the demand. World wide, the demand for oil has changed radically over the past twenty years.

China and India have doubled their consumption of oil over this period while the United States, Japan and other industrialized economies have increased their consumption (demand) by one-half over this same period.

All of this increased demand is being played out against the reality that the supply (production) of oil while increasing, is being produced and found at a diminishing rate.

Does the average American understand that the United States has basically gone off line because of the likes of Charlie Shumer, Ted Kennedy, Hillary Clinton, Robert F. Kennedy, Junior, and RINO Republicans?

American has gone off line despite the fact we have more proven oil reserves (unexplored fields) than any other nation on earth. Why aren't we exploring and producing more oil for ourselves?
The answer is simple and tragic – a coalition of radical left-wing environmentalist buttressed by the Democrats and Republicans in congress who have bought into the tripe of environmentalism.

Consider the following:

Had we opened the northern slope (Anwar) in Alaska in the mid-1990s as the Republican Congress wanted to do (and Clinton vetoed), we would today have an additional 1-million barrels of oil flowing right now (perhaps even more) from that source.

If we were allowed to explore the oil reserves off the Atlantic and Pacific coastlines, we would have untold millions of barrels flowing right now. What would be the impact of this increased supply on the price of oil?

It would be substantial - perhaps as much as $25.00 per barrel in today's market.

This anti-capitalist mentality has used the political system, bureaucracy and courts to kill off exploration of proven reserves domestically, thus, making us more dependent on foreign sources of oil. While they have limited oil production, they have also worked to destroy the nation’s capacity to generate power.

This mentality has regulated the construction of new refineries out of business, effectively limiting the output of gasoline and other products over time, driving up the price of these products. There has not been a new nuclear plant constructed in the United States in 30 years. To keep up with the demand for electricity and bring about a conversion of oil to more economic uses, the capacity to generate electricity should have increased by at least one-half (50%) over the past 30 years. Yet, we have only expanded the capacity of fixed assets (nuclear plants) to generate about one-tenth (10%) more electricity over this period and force utilities to adopt more antiquated ways of generating electricity like coal burning plants t make up the difference.

This mentality has been allowed to regulate the refining process in to a maze of bureaucratic bottlenecks substantially running up the cost of gasoline and other products beyond the base cost of the raw material (crude oil). The myriad of regulations of the refining process runs up the price of gasoline.

Nine percent (9%).

So, who are we to blame for this?

We need not look any further than the man or woman in the mirror. Frankly, we as citizens and economic agents in a supposedly ‘free market’ have no one to blame but ourselves.

We are to blame because we have allowed this coalition to effectively create the oil crises of the past 30 years without a struggle.

There is no energy crisis, there is a crisis of government and we have allowed and we are allowing government to dictate the discussion when it is the problem.

Just consider their ignorance – how do they propose to deal with the latest oil crisis? By doing more of the same – more government regulations, a Wind-fall profits tax, and hearings about price gouging?

More to the point, consider our ignorance for allowing them to get away with it.

Disclaimer: The views, opinions and ideas are those of the Southern Agrarian and do not represent those of any other organization. In his speech, the President flat out rejected mass deportation of illegal aliens saying, "Massive deportation of the people here is unrealistic. It's just not going to work." As well, the President again endorsed some sort of plan to provide a path to citizenship for illegal aliens in the country (amnesty).

What the President is apparently not considering is that there is a third way -- the practical way -- of "attrition" for dealing with the 12 million illegal aliens in our country. By stepping up interior enforcement efforts, such as workplace verification, many illegal aliens will begin to self-deport as they are unable to access jobs and other benefits.

As a spokesperson for Rep. Tom Tancredo's office said, "No one is talking about mass deportations...Our approach is one of attrition where you make it difficult for an illegal alien to get a job in this country or to access our social services, so that over time, illegal aliens stop coming to this country and the ones already here go home."The President is scheduled to meet with Democratic and Republican congressional leaders this week to encourage them to pass a guest worker-amnesty bill.

As a reminder, just prior to Congress' Easter recess, the Senate failed to pass its immigration reform bill containing a massive amnesty-guest worker bill. Under consideration were three main proposals. One was passed by the Senate Judiciary Committee and crafted by its chair, Sen. Arlen Specter (R-PA). The Specter proposal would reward illegal aliens with amnesty and add 30 million foreign workers and their dependents over the next decade.

Another proposal, S. 2454, was introduced by Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, MD (R-TN). S. 2454 would add 20 million foreign workers and their dependents over the next year. It would double the annual allotment of green cards!

Finally , a proposal by Sens. Chuck Hagel (R-NE) and Mel Martinez (R-FL) would produce a tiered amnesty and add at least 35 million foreign workers and their dependents over the next decade.

At this point it is unclear whether or not one of these immigration bills will be brought to the Senate floor again, but President Bush is pushing Democratic and Republican leaders to pass some sort of amnesty-guest worker proposal. Contact the White House and tell President Bush to consider the third alternative, attrition, as a solution to our illegal immigration crisis.

Comments@whitehouse.gov

Disclaimer: The views, opinions and ideas are those of the Southern Agrarian and do not represent those of any other organization. Through love of having children, we are going to take over.

Richard Alatorre, Los Angeles City Council. "They're afraid we're going to take over the governmental institutions and other institutions. They're right. We will take them over . . . We are here to stay." Excelsior, the national newspaper of Mexico, "The American Southwest seems to be slowly returning to the jurisdiction of Mexico without firing a single shot." Professor Jose Angel Gutierrez, University of Texas; "We have an aging white America. They are not making babies. They are dying. The explosion is in our population . . . I love it. They are shitting in their pants with fear. I love it."

Art Torres, Chairman of the California Democratic Party, "Remember 187--proposition to deny taxpayer funds for services to non-citizens--was the last gasp of white America in California." Gloria Molina, Los Angeles County Supervisor, "We are politicizing every single one of these new citizens that are becoming citizens of this country . . . I gotta tell you that a lot of people are saying, "I'm going to go out there and vote because I want to pay them back."

Mario Obledo, California Coalition of Hispanic Organizations and California State Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare under Governor Jerry Brown, also awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Bill Clinton, "California is going to be a Hispanic state. Anyone who doesn't like it should leave."

Jose Pescador Osuna, Mexican Consul General , "We are practicing 'La Reconquista' in California." Professor Fernando Guerra, Loyola Marymount University; "We need to avoid a white backlash by using codes understood by Latinos . . . "

Are these just the words of a few extremists? Consider that we could fill up many pages with such quotes. Also, consider that these are mainstream Mexican leaders.

THE U.S. VS MEXICO: On February 15, 1998, the U.S. and Mexican soccer teams met at the Los Angeles Coliseum. The crowd was overwhelmingly pro-Mexican even though most lived in this country. They booed during the National Anthem and U.S. flags were held upside down. As the match progressed, supporters of the U.S. team were insulted, pelted with projectiles, punched and spat upon. Beer and trash were thrown at the U.S. players before and after the match.

The coach of the U.S. team, Steve Sampson said, "This was the most painful experience I have ever had in this profession." Did you know that immigrants from Mexico and other non-European countries can come to this country and get preferences in jobs, education, and government contracts? It's called affirmative action or racial privilege.

The Emperor of Japan or the President of Mexico could migrate here and immediately be eligible for special rights unavailable for Americans of European descent. Recently, a vote was taken in the U.S. Congress to end this practice. It was defeated. Every single Democratic senator except Ernest Hollings voted to maintain special privileges for Hispanic, Asian and African immigrants.

They were joined by thirteen Republicans. Bill Clinton and Al Gore have repeatedly stated that they believe that massive immigration from countries like Mexico is good. They have also backed special privileges for these immigrants. Corporate America has signed on to the idea that minorities and third world immigrants should get special, privileged status. Some examples are Exxon, Texaco, Merrill Lynch, Boeing, Paine Weber, Starbucks and many more.

DID YOU KNOW?: Did you know that Mexico regularly intercedes on the side of the defense in criminal cases involving Mexican nationals? Did you know that Mexico has NEVER extradited a Mexican national accused of murder in the U.S. in spite of agreements to do so? According to the L.A. Times, Orange County, California is home to 275 gangs with 17,000 members; 98% of which are Mexican and Asian.

How's your county doing? According to a New York Times article dated May 19, 1994, 20 years after the great influx of legal immigrants from Southeast Asia, 30% are still on welfare compared to 8% of households nationwide. A Wall Street Journal editorial dated December 5, 1994 quotes law enforcement officials as stating that Asian mobsters are the "greatest criminal challenge the country faces." Not bad for a group that is still under 5% of the population.

Is education important to you? Here are the words of a teacher who spent over 20 years in the Los Angeles School system. "Imagine teachers in classes containing 30-40 students of widely varying attention spans and motivation, many of whom aren't fluent in English. Educators seek learning materials likely to reach the majority of students and that means fewer words and math problems and more pictures and multicultural references."

WHEN I WAS YOUNG: When I was young, I remember hearing about the immigrants that came through Ellis Island. They wanted to learn English. They wanted to breath free. They wanted to become Americans. Now too many immigrants come here with demands. They demand to be taught in their own language. They demand special privileges--affirmative action. They demand ethnic studies that glorify their culture.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?: Send copies of this letter to at least two other people, 100 would be even better. In that context his thoughts are particularly poignant, given the actions of his Democrat Party. Last week there was an immigration overpopulation conference in Washington, DC, filled to capacity by many of American's finest minds and leaders.

A brilliant college professor by the name of Victor Hansen Davis talked about his latest book, Mexifornia," explaining how immigration - both legal and illegal - was destroying the entire state of California. He said it would march across the country until it destroyed all vestiges of The American Dream.

Moments later, former Colorado Governor Richard D. Lamm stood up and gave a stunning speech on how to destroy America. The audience sat spellbound as he described eight methods for the destruction of the United States. He said, "If you believe that America is too smug, too self-satisfied, too rich, then let's destroy America. It is not that hard to do. No nation in history has survived the ravages of time. Arnold Toynbee observed that all great civilizations rise and fall and that 'An autopsy of history would show that all great nations commit suicide.'"

Here is how they do it," Lamm said:

"First, to destroy America, turn America into a bilingual or multi-lingual and bicultural country." History shows that no nation can survive the tension, conflict, and antagonism of two or more competing languages and cultures. It is a blessing for an individual to be bilingual; however, it is a curse for a society to be bilingual. The historical scholar, Seymour Lipset, put it this way: "The histories of bilingual and bi-cultural societies that do not assimilate are histories of turmoil, tension, and tragedy." Canada, Belgium, Malaysia, and Lebanon all face crises of national existence in which minorities press for autonomy, if not independence. Pakistan and Cyprus have divided. Nigeria suppressed an ethnic rebellion. France faces difficulties with Basques, Bretons, and Corsicans."

Lamm went on: Second, to destroy America, "Invent 'multiculturalism' and encourage immigrants to maintain their culture. I would make it an article of belief that all cultures are equal. That there are no cultural differences. I would make it an article of faith that the Black and Hispanic dropout rates are due solely to prejudice and discrimination by the majority. Every other explanation is out of bounds.

Third, "We could make the United States an 'Hispanic Quebec' without much effort. The key is to celebrate diversity rather than unity. As Benjamin Schwarz said in the Atlantic Monthly recently: "The apparent success of our own multiethnic and multicultural experiment might have been achieved not by tolerance but by hegemony. Without the dominance that once dictated ethnocentricity and what it meant to be an American, we are left with only tolerance and pluralism to hold us together." Lamm said, "I would encourage all immigrants to keep their own language and culture I would replace the melting pot metaphor with the salad bowl metaphor. It is important to ensure that we have various cultural subgroups living in America enforcing their differences rather than as Americans, emphasizing their similarities."

"Fourth, I would make our fastest growing demographic group the least educated. I would add a second underclass, unassimilated, undereducated, and antagonistic to our population. I would have this second underclass have a 50% dropout rate from high. school."

"My fifth point for destroying America would be to get big foundations and business to give these efforts lots of money. I would invest in ethnic identity, and I would establish the cult of 'Victimology.' I would get all minorities to think that their lack of success was the fault of the majority. I would start a grievance industry blaming all minority failure on the majority population."

"My sixth plan for America's downfall would include dual citizenship, and promote divided loyalties. I would celebrate diversity over unity. I would stress differences rather than similarities. Diverse people worldwide are mostly engaged in hating each other - that is, when they are not killing each other. A diverse, peaceful, or stable society is against most historical precedent. People undervalue the unity it takes to keep a nation together. Look at the ancient Greeks. The Greeks believed that they belonged to the same race; they possessed a common language and literature; and they worshipped the same gods. All Greece took part in the Olympic games. A common enemy, Persia, threatened their liberty. Yet all these bonds were not strong enough to overcome two factors: local patriotism and geographical conditions that nurtured political divisions. Greece fell. "E Pluribus Unum" -- From many, one. In that historical reality, if we put the emphasis on the 'pluribus'. Instead of the 'Unum,' we will balkanize America as surely as Kosovo."

"Next to last, I would place all subjects off limits; make it taboo to talk about anything against the cult of 'diversity.' I would find a word similar to 'heretic' in the 16th century - that stopped discussion and paralyzed thinking. Words like 'racist' or 'xenophobe' halt discussion and debate. Having made America a bilingual/bicultural country, having established multi-culturism, having the large foundations fund the doctrine of 'Victimology,' I would next make it impossible to enforce our immigration laws. I would develop a mantra: That because immigration has been good for America, it must always be good. I would make every individual immigrant symmetric and ignore the cumulative impact of millions of them."

In the last minute of his speech, Governor Lamm wiped his brow. Profound silence followed Finally he said, "Lastly, I would censor Victor Hanson Davis's book Mexifornia. His book is dangerous. It exposes the plan to destroy America. If you feel America deserves to be destroyed, don't read that book."

There was no applause. A chilling fear quietly rose like an ominous cloud above every attendee at the conference. Every American in that room knew that everything Lamm enumerated was proceeding methodically, quietly, darkly, yet pervasively across the United States today. Discussion is being suppressed. Over 100 languages are ripping the foundation of our educational system and national cohesiveness. Even barbaric cultures that practice female genital mutilation are growing as we celebrate 'diversity.' American jobs are vanishing into the Third World as corporations create a Third World in. America - take note of California and other states - to date, ten million illegal aliens and growing fast. It is reminiscent of George Orwell's book "1984." In that story, three slogans are engraved in the Ministry of Truth building: "War is peace," "Freedom is slavery," and "Ignorance is strength."

Governor Lamm walked back to his seat. It dawned on everyone at the conference that our nation and the future of this great democracy is deeply in trouble and worsening fast. If we don't get this immigration monster stopped within three years, it will rage like a California wildfire and destroy everything in its path, especially The American Dream.

Disclaimer: The views, opinions and ideas are those of the Southern Agrarian and do not represent those of any other organization. Richard M. Weaver

Fred Barnes of The Weekly Standard has an interesting article citing the factors that must be emphasized by Karl Rove and Republicans in order to motivate a now sleeping giant - the Republican Base - to turn out and vote in 2006.

The great fear is, the sleeping giant is disenchanted at this time (Bush/political fatigue) and will simply sit this election out and we could possibly lose control of the House and Senate. A defeat would present the Democrats with the power to reassert their maniacal obsession to drive this nation over the cliff into the valley of socialism and assuredly embroil the nation in an impeachment fight over the next two years.

Barnes cites the following factors: (1.) pass a budget that includes spending restraints, (2.) emphasize the 'culture of life' issues; and (3.) make the Bush tax cuts permanent. While these are central to our grassroots desires, they will not motivate the base and they are more reflective of Barnes' own desires and inside the beltway personality rather than the views of grassroots Republicans.

The base will be motivated by the following:

A real fight over Tax cuts/real tax reform;

A real fight to approve 32 district court judges now sitting in limbo and backlogged because the Democrats are effectively vetoing them;

Reasserting the Reagan argument that the real problem in America is government and the solution is the innovation of the American People. Bush should campaign against the Washington establishment calling on American's to: (a.) conserve on energy (pursue alternatives) to help the war effort, (b.) hold their congressmen/women responsible for spending restraints (the Mike Pence approach), and (c.) point out the culture is under a brutal attack by activist judges, liberal politicians, and the Hollywood left;

Push for real immigration law enforcement - oppose all the bills in Congress and set out to enforce the laws on the books including the deployment of national guard units to bridge the period between now and when we have hired enough border patrolmen/women to do the job that needs to be done. The congress is not going to take meaningful action, so ignore them and campaign against them as the do-noting congress (you’ll see the Republicans fall in line real quick);

Strike Syria and Iran through the air, and work to fund opposition forces in those countries - every time there is a suicide bombing/I.E.D explosion in Iraq, a military/terrorist facility in Syria and/or Iran will disappear; and

Campaign on opening up oil exploration offshore and in Alaska - campaigning against environmentalists and democrats. On this one Bush should point out that it is the democrats holding up exploration, building of refineries, and nuclear power plants. Demonstrate through sound economic analysis that the price of oil will fall, e.g., an additional 1 billion barrels of oil from the northern slope would reduce the price of oil by $15 to $20 a barrel in today's market.

Its your voice, raise it in the name of liberty and our culture!

Disclaimer: The views, opinions and ideas are those of the Southern Agrarian and do not represent those of any organization. I'll give you exactly 15 minutes."

The lecture room fell silent and the professor began his lecture.

Ten minutes went by and the professor proclaimed, "Here I am God - still waiting."

It got down to the last minute when the Marine stood up, walked toward the professor and threw his best punch, knocking him off the platform and out cold. The Marine went back to his seat and sat down.

The professor came to, noticeably shaken, looked at the Marine and asked, "What is the matter with you? Richard M. Weaver

Michael,

You do not know me. I got you email from my wife - who has sent you some stuff from the states.

I just wanted to take a minute to let you know how much I appreciate you and your fellow Marines. I am an old Devil Dog from years ago (Vietnam 68-70, 73-75), but enough about me.

You men and women have been an inspiration to all of us back home and we are very proud of you. Do not believe what you hear or read from the media or along the chatter lines of rumor and propaganda.... the people support you and your mission. The America of 2006 is not the America of 1968 - 1975 when I served. The people of today have more backbone, we want you to succeed and are willing to take our politicians to task for not standing with you.

You and your fellow Marines are carrying out a Noble Cause – you have brought hope to the hopeless and light to the darkness. You are cracking open the door and allowing light to shine for millions who have been consumed by the darkness for too long. The door has been opened and Liberty's light will chase out the tyranny of darkness.

You and your fellow Marines (all the services) are Knight Exemplars to the World demonstrating the forthrightness and determination of the United States in building a better world and allowing Liberty's light to shine. Through your conduct and character, you have shone the world the best of America.

You and your fellow Marines have liberated the Iraqi people from the darkness, but there is still the storm that is testing the mettle of both the Iraqi and the American people. The Gail winds of the storm are blowing hard now testing that Will. Through the efforts of you and your fellow Marines (and other service men and women) you are bringing a cleansing effect to that nation.
Through you companionship (liberation and staying the course) you have provided comfort and a sense of conformity so they can build a new nation on the rubble of darkness. Through your conviction, Semper Fidelis, you have brought change – brought light to the darkness for children to grow up in a different world, for mothers to care for their children, for fathers to provide a life for his family.

Just as God does not give up on the sinner, we will not give up on the Iraqis or on your mission. The storm requires patience, kindness and forgiveness. You and your fellow Marines are the rudders in this storm.

You can count on me and millions of Americans will be your rudder at home. Though we do not know you, we love each of you, pray for you and celebrate you and your mission.

You are our Heroes – our Knight Exemplars – your purpose of God’s purpose and our purpose.
Semper Fidelis

Disclaimer: The views, opinions and ideas are those of the Southern Agrarian and do not represent those of any other organization. They offer no arguments nor proof of their positions, only the dribble of a Nihilist. They tell us not to believe the truth of our eyes (the terrorism of the Islamists), but to believe the truth is everything (that we are morally equivalent).

They are babblers of the left who put more into being politically correct than in reality. There is no moral equivalence between Islam and Christianity, Islam is not a religion of pluralism (like Christianity), it is a forced religion based on one order - that of the so-called prophet Mohammed.

Christianity offers two orders: God the Father, Son and Holy Ghost and then the second order - you and I. We have the ability of free will to chose religion or not, the Muslim world offers no such choice (which I an sure the New Agers are for - in given cricumstances). Christians are offered a Triune God and choice. I have fought for these useful idiots to hold these views, to have thier choice, but what choice does the average Muslim have even within the 6th century ideology called Islam - burning down embassies because of a cartoon? Killing innocents in the name of a god?

Christians do not have to take to the streets to kill and terrorize. We do not have to do this because our God - the True God - laid down his life for our salvation. We do not have to sacrifice blood at the alter of evil to get into heaven. We only need accept him as our Savior, through his Grace.

New Ager worship the gods of rationalism, pragmatism, subjectivism and post-modernism. SATAN is behind each of these babbling philosophies, which results in estatism, the debasement of values and the subpression of faith (religion). Nihilism runs through every word of the New agers - the useful idiots of the left.

Disclaimer: The views, opinions and ideas are those of the Southern Agrarian and do not represent those of any other organization. When he smiles, I see Jesus in that smile. Now, I am sure that you know how reasonable men can disagree and still love one another, as we should.

I interpreted the message in the bulletin as a pacifist message in time of war. Without belaboring the issue, he simply said, after having brought World War II into the message, that violence always must be met with love. There were no exceptions cited.

It was a sweeping abstraction statement. I felt anger when I read it. I was not just upset. I was angry in this time of war. This is an issue that Christians everywhere in every age have wrestled with by themselves and with others for centuries.

When I sat down at my computer a day or so after that Mass, I must confess that I did not know what I was going to write. What came out follows.

My wife, Anna, pointed out that there is not an angry word in it. There isn't. I can explain it only by saying that I am convinced that He had His hand on my shoulder as I researched and wrote it. If it moves people, it is not from me. I cannot really move people. So if it moves you, it is through me. I am just the conduit, and I am happy and blessed to be just the conduit. I pray that this moves people who encounter the same problem that I encountered. Please bear with me, and read on:

For centuries Christians have struggled with the subject of war. It is a recurring problem, challenging Christians to think and re-think their positions.

Most certainly we should pray every day for peace. St. Paul exhorts us in I Timothy to pray for our leaders. Indeed, in Romans 13, Paul says: "Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. … For he (the authority) is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil."

Paul seems to be saying that government is one of God’s instruments for exacting justice. This truth is illustrated in the Book of Habakkuk, where God uses Babylonia to punish evildoers in Judah. Paul says something else that is pertinent here. In Romans 12, he says, "If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men." Notice that he said if it is possible.
Ninety-nine times out of a hundred, we should not oppose violence with violence. Usually, violence only begets more violence sooner or later. We should try loving our enemies. Love works. Most of the time. We should try it until it hurts.

Most constitutional scholars agree that the first responsibility of government is to protect its citizens. Our government protected us in World War II, after prolonged loving patience with Adolf Hitler ended in world tragedy.

The violence in that war did not beget more violence, as any study of post-war West Germany and Japan will demonstrate. Those whom we defeated thrived afterward with new found freedoms and productivity. Therein we have an example in which it was not possible "to live peaceably with all men," as Paul tells us to do.

Here is another example: How can you embrace, love and pray for an Islamist suicide bomber who does not give you a chance to do so? He blows you and himself up immediately, so that he can "go to paradise and be rewarded with 72 virgins," according to his religious teachings.
Islamist terrorists repeat publicly every day that their goal is to kill every Christian and Jew who does not embrace Islam. They vow total destruction because of who and what we are.

Hypothetically, put yourself in the shoes of a federal counter-terrorist agent. You are on the roof of a building with a high powered rifle equipped with sniper scope and laser beam. You have absolute confirmation that the young man across the way, wearing a backpack and going into a church crowded with innocent men, women and children, is a terrorist with an extremely powerful bomb. If a priest or anybody else even approaches the terrorist in peace and love, he will press a button in his hand and set off the bomb. He is about to disappear inside the church.

The only way you can stop him is to kill him instantly. What do you do? Kill him? Or let him go inside and kill a thousand innocent people? Or, if you could have stopped Timothy McVeigh from bombing that federal building in Oklahoma City only by killing him, would you have done so? The decision, of course, would have been yours alone to live and die with.

One of the greatest theologian philosophers in the history of the Roman Catholic Church was St. Augustine (354-430.) He developed seven criteria that he said justify war-that is, employing violence to stop evil. Centuries later, St. Thomas Aquinas (1225-1274) agreed with Augustine.

Aquinas was another of the great Catholic theologians. While Augustine was a Platonist, Aquinas was an Aristotelian. When one such philosopher agrees with the positing of the other, you usually can take that to the bank.

Augustine’s criteria quite simply are that the war be declared by a legitimate government; that it have just cause and intention such as self defense; that the war be a lesser of two evils; that the war be of limited engagement so as not to massacre innocent people; that the war have a probability of success of achieving its aims; that the war be fought as a last resort; and finally that the war be redemptive so as to leave room for reconciliation afterward.

Possibly the greatest living expert on Catholic chaplains in combat is retired Archbishop Phillip Hannan of New Orleans, who parachuted into combat with the 82nd Airborne Division in World War II. He did his duty with a conviction that it was right and just. It is most likely that he was familiar with one particular writing of St. Thomas Aquinas:

"It would seem lawful for clerics and bishops to fight. For, as stated (earlier), wars are lawful and just in so far as they protect the poor and the entire common weal from suffering at the hands of the foe. Now this seems to be above all the duty of prelates, for Gregory says (Hom. in Ev. xiv): ‘The wolf comes upon the sheep, when any unjust and rapacious man oppresses those who are faithful and humble. But he who was thought to be the shepherd, and was not, leaveth the sheep, and flieth, for he fears lest the wolf hurt him, and dares not stand up against his injustice.’ Therefore it is lawful for prelates and clerics to fight."

While it was unlikely that Fr. Hannon took up arms and shot Germans, he nevertheless was in the thick of the fighting, praying for Americans and Germans alike. What an example!
We should pray for our country, its leaders, and our brave and unselfish troops in harm’s way, as well as for those recovering in hospitals. In addition, we should pray that the terrorists, including Osama bin Laden, be brought into the Light of Christ. Can’t happen? A terrorist who once murdered Christians came into that Light. He wrote much of the New Testament.

Concerning the war that we are in now, the Vatican magazine Civilita Cattolica two years ago wrote in a lead editorial: "…In reality, Islamic terrorism has not changed the goals that it has pursued since its origin until the work of Osama bin Laden: to fight the Jews and the ‘crusaders’ (the Christians, seen as inveterate enemies of Islam); to fight against the Western world and the United States." The Vatican’s Secretary of State and thus the Pope approved all the magazine’s editorials.

Monsignor Caesar Mazzolari, who spent many years as a priest in Islamist-war-torn Sudan, once was asked whether the God of Christians is the same as Allah. "No way!" he said. (He had been ordained as a priest in San Diego, California.) "Where would the concept of the Trinity fit in? And Christ is certainly not the greatest of their prophets."

Mazzolari, who had been ordained as a monsignor by Pope John Paul II, warned grimly: "It will be the Muslims who convert us, not the other way around. Wherever they settle down, sooner or later they end up becoming a leading political force." The monsignor said that many Vatican officials are afraid to admit that the "clash of civilizations" is here.

We have much cause to pray. May we be gentle as doves but wise as serpents. And may we have the courage and the will to unselfishly use the necessary force, when clearly required, to defend those who cannot defend themselves. Our loved ones who sacrificed in World War II and other wars, and who sacrifice today in Afghanistan and Iraq, did not do, and are not doing, wrong. We are and should be proud of them and thankful for them.

(Note: Catholic writer Joseph D’Hippolito and Protestant pastor Alan Smith assembled many of the facts herein two years ago and presented them on the Internet.)

In Christ,
Marco Gilliam

Disclaimer: The views, opinions and ideas are those of the Southern Agrarian and do not represent those of any other organization. I usually think about this stuff when I am working out, praying (yes infidel - God speaks to me like he will to you, if only you will let him in your heart), or suffering from a lack of sleep. ...torture me, kill me but just don’t bore me with your left-wing tripe. Our country is now facing the most serious threat to its existence, as we know it, that we have faced in your lifetime and mine which includes WWII).

The deadly seriousness is greatly compounded by the fact that there are very few of us who think we can possibly lose this war and even fewer who realize what losing really means.

First, let's examine a few basics:

When did the threat to us start? Many will say September 11, 2001. The answer as far as the United States is concerned is 1979, 22 years prior to September 2001, with the following attacks on us:

* Iran Embassy Hostages, 1979;
* Beirut, Lebanon Embassy 1983;
* Beirut, Lebanon Marine Barracks 1983;
* Lockerbie, Scotland Pan-Am flight to New York 1988;
* First New York World Trade Center attack 1993;
* Dhahran, Saudi Arabia Khobar Towers Military complex 1996;
* Nairobi, Kenya US Embassy 1998;
* Dares Salaam, Tanzania US Embassy 1998;
* Aden, Yemen USS Cole 2000;
* New York World Trade Center 2001; and
* Pentagon 2001.

(Note that during the period from 1981 to 2001 there were 7,581 terrorist attacks worldwide).

Why were we attacked? Envy of our position, our success, and our freedoms. The attacks happened during the administrations of Presidents Carter, Reagan, Bush 1, Clinton and Bush 2. We cannot fault either the Republicans or Democrats as there were no provocations by any of the presidents or their immediate predecessors, Presidents Ford or Carter.

Who were the attackers? In each case, the attacks on the US were carried out by Muslims.

What is the Muslim population of the World? 25%.

Isn't the Muslim Religion peaceful? Hopefully, but that is really not material. There is no doubt that the predominately Christian population of Germany was peaceful, but under the dictatorial leadership of Hitler (who was also Christian), that made no difference. You either went along with the administration or you were eliminated. There were 5 to 6 million Christians killed by the Nazis for political reasons (including 7,000 Polish priests). (See http://www.nazis.testimony.co.uk/7-a.htm )

Thus, almost the same number of Christians were killed by the Nazis, as the six million holocaust Jews who were killed by them, and we seldom heard of anything other than the Jewish atrocities. Although Hitler kept the world focused on the Jews, he had no hesitancy about killing anyone who got in his way of exterminating the Jews or of taking over the world - German, Christian or any others.

Same with the Muslim terrorists. They focus the world on the US, but kill all in the way -- their own people or the Spanish, French or anyone else. The point here is that just like the peaceful Germans were of no protection to anyone from the Nazis, no matter how many peaceful Muslims there may be, they are no protection for us from the terrorist Muslim leaders and what they are fanatically bent on doing -- by their own pronouncements --killing all of us "infidels." I don't blame the peaceful Muslims. Whatwould you do if the choice was shut up or die?

So who are we at war with? There is no way we can honestly respond that it is anyone other than the Muslim terrorists. Trying to be politically correct and avoid verbalizing this conclusion can well be fatal. There is no way to win if you don't clearly recognize and articulate who you are fighting.

So with that background, now to the two major questions:

Can we lose this war?

What does losing really mean?

If we are to win, we must clearly answer these two pivotal questions.

We can definitely lose this war, and as anomalous as it may sound, themajor reason we can lose is that so many of us simply do not fathom theanswer to the second question - What does losing mean?

It would appear that a great many of us think that losing the war means hanging our heads, bringing the troops home and going on about our business, like post Vietnam. This is as far from the truth as one can get.

What losing really means is:

1. We would no longer be the premier country in the world.

2. The attacks will not subside, but rather will steadily increase. Remember, they want us dead, not just quiet. If they had just wanted us quiet, they would not have produced an increasing series of attacks against us, over the past 18 years. The plan was clearly, for terrorist to attack us, until we were neutered and submissive to them.

3. We would of course have no future support from other nations, for fear of reprisals and for the reason that they would see, we are impotent and cannot help them.

4. They will pick off the other non-Muslim nations, one at a time. It will be increasingly easier for them. They already hold Spain hostage. It doesn't matter whether it was right or wrong for Spain to withdraw its troops from Iraq. Spain did it because the Muslim terrorists bombed their train and told them to withdraw the troops. Anything else they want Spain to do will be done. Spain is finished.

The next will probably be France. Our one hope on France is that they might see the light and realize that if we don't win, they are finished too, in that they can't resist the Muslim terrorists without us. However, it may already be too late for France. France is already 20% Muslim and fading fast!

5. If we lose the war, our production, income, exports and way of life will all vanish as we know it. After losing, who would trade or deal with us, if they were threatened by the Muslims.

If we can't stop the Muslims, how could anyone else?

The Muslims fully know what is riding on this war, and therefore are completely committed to winning, at any cost. We better know it too and be likewise committed to winning at any cost.

Why do I go on at such lengths about the results of losing? Simple. Until we recognize the costs of losing, we cannot unite and really put 100% of our thoughts and efforts into winning. And it is going to take that 100% effort to win.

So, how can we lose the war?

Again, the answer is simple. We can lose the war by "imploding." That is, defeating ourselves by refusing to recognize the enemy and their purpose, and really digging in and lending full support to the war effort. If we are united, there is no way that we can lose. If we continue to be divided, there is no way that we can win!

Let me give you a few examples of how we simply don't comprehend the life and death seriousness of this situation.

President Bush selects Norman Mineta as Secretary of Transportation. Although all of the terrorist attacks were committed by Muslim men between 17 and 40 years of age, Secretary Mineta refuses to allow profiling. Does that sound like we are taking this thing seriously? This is war! For the duration, we are going to have to give up some of the civil rights we have become accustomed to. We had better be prepared to lose some of our civil rights temporarily or we will most certainly lose all of them permanently.

And don't worry that it is a slippery slope. We gave up plenty of civil rights during WWII, and immediately restored them after the victory and in fact added many more since then.

Do I blame President Bush or President Clinton before him?

No, I blame us for blithely assuming we can maintain all of our Political Correctness, and all of our civil rights during this conflict and have a clean, lawful, honorable war. None of those words apply to war. Get them out of your head.

Some have gone so far in their criticism of the war and/or the Administration that it almost seems they would literally like to see us lose. I hasten to add that this isn't because they are disloyal. It is because they just don't recognize what losing means. Nevertheless, that conduct gives the impression to the enemy that we are divided andweakening. It concerns our friends, and it does great damage to our cause.

Of more recent vintage, the uproar fueled by the politicians and media regarding the treatment of some prisoners of war, perhaps exemplifies best what I am saying. We have recently had an issue, involving the treatment of a few Muslim prisoners of war, by a small group of our military police. These are the type prisoners who just a few months ago were throwing their own people off buildings, cutting off their hands, cutting out their tongues and otherwise murdering their own people just for disagreeing with Saddam Hussein.

And just a few years ago these same type prisoners chemically killed 400,000 of their own people for the same reason. They are also the same type enemy fighters, who recently were burning Americans, and dragging their charred corpses through the streets of Iraq.

And still more recently, the same type enemy that was and is providing videos to all news sources internationally, of the beheading of American prisoners they held.

Compare this with some of our press and politicians, who for several days have thought and talked about nothing else but the "humiliating" of some Muslim prisoners -- not burning them, not dragging their charred corpses through the streets, not beheading them, but "humiliating" them.

Can this be for real?

The politicians and pundits have even talked of impeachment of the Secretary of Defense. If this doesn't show the complete lack of comprehension and understanding of the seriousness of the enemy we are fighting, the life and death struggle we are in and the disastrous results of losing this war, nothing can.

To bring our country to a virtual political standstill over this prisoner issue makes us look like Nero playing his fiddle as Rome burned – totally oblivious to what is going on in the real world. Neither we, nor any other country, can survive this internal strife.

Again I say, this does not mean that some of our politicians or media people are disloyal. It simply means that they are absolutely oblivious to the magnitude, of the situation we are in and into which the Muslim terrorists have been pushing us, for many years.

Remember, the Muslim terrorists stated goal is to kill all infidels! That translates into ALL non-Muslims -- not just in the United States, but throughout the world.

We are the last bastion of defense.

We have been criticized for many years as being 'arrogant..' That charge is valid in at least one respect. We are arrogant in that we believe that we are so good, powerful and smart, that we can win the hearts and minds of all those who attack us, and that with both hands tied behind our back, we can defeat anything bad in the world!

We can't!

If we don't recognize this, our nation as we know it will not survive, and no other free country in the world will survive if we are defeated.

And finally, name any Muslim countries throughout the world that allow:

freedom of speech,
freedom of thought,
freedom of religion,
freedom of the press,
equal rights for anyone -- let alone everyone,
equal status or any status for women, or
that have been productive in one single way that contributes to the good of the world.

This has been a long way of saying that we must be united on this war or we will be equated in the history books to the self-inflicted fall of the Roman Empire. If, that is, the Muslim leaders will allow history books to be written or read.

If we don't win this war right now, keep a close eye on how the Muslims take over France in the next 5 years or less. They will continue to increase the Muslim population of France and continue to encroach little by little, on the established French traditions. The French will be fighting among themselves, over what should or should not be done, which will continue to weaken them and keep them from any united resolve. Doesn't that sound eerily familiar?

Democracies don't have their freedoms taken away from them by some external military force. Instead, they give their freedoms away, politically correct piece by politically correct piece.

And they are giving those freedoms away to those who have shown, worldwide, that they abhor freedom and will not apply it to you or even to themselves, once they are in power.

They have universally shown that when they have taken over, they then start brutally killing each other over who will be the few who control the masses. Will we ever stop hearing from the politically correct, about the "peaceful Muslims"?

I close on a hopeful note, by repeating what I said above. If we are united, there is no way that we can lose. I hope now after the election, the factions in our country will begin to focus on the critical situation we are in, and will unite to save our country. It is your future we are talking about! Do whatever you can to preserve it.

After reading the above, we all must do this not only for ourselves, but our children, our grandchildren, our country and the world.

Whether Democrat or Republican, conservative or liberal and that includes the Politicians and media of our country and the free world!

Please forward this to any you feel may want, or NEED to read it. Our "leaders" in Congress ought to read it, too.

There are those that find fault with our country, but it is obvious to anyone who truly thinks through this, that we must UNITE!

Disclaimer: The views, opinions and ideas are those of the Southern Agrarian and do not represent those of any other organization. It is they who are the great terrorists standing across the battlefield from us, just as surely as the Islamo fascists do in the international conflict. Consider the left's central issue during the Alito hearings - it did not matter whether this man was qualified or not - what mattered most was the RIGHT TO KILL THE UNBORN!

Almost 50 percent of the questions asked centered around the "right" to continue their (and by extending this nation's) blood sacrifice to SATAN . That is what it is - a blood sacrifice. The Democrats and some Republicans considered this 'right' more important than anything else - the right to continue the legalized murder of the unborn - in the name of SATAN - the great Cherub - they want this nation to continue the blood sacrifice of the unborn more than they wanted to know about Judge Alito's qualifications.

You say I am being radical and harsh - No my friends. The ones who are radicalizing our society and devaluing our culture is not the Southern Agrarian or Classicists - it is the nihilists of the left. Consider their domestic terrorism: abortion on demand, driving Christmas out of the public square, driving prayer out of the classrooms, banning the Ten Commandments, opposing any limits on parental notification (or spousal notification), no limits on harvesting embryonic stem cells, no limits on abortion and championing euthanasia.

Their labeling of - pro-life, pro-growth, pro-gun, pro-family, pro-American advocates - the American people - as extremists or radicals borders on the absurd . The radicals are the fascist making the charges - tell me - who is more radical, Ted Kennedy of D. James Kennedy?

The attacks on traditional family values and individual liberties are being carried out on a systematic timetable by the left. Oh they like to tell us they are defending our rights, but at what costs? They do not want you to know what they are doing. but it is clear - they seek to push the agenda of Planned Parenthood and the American Civil Liberties Union not through legislative action - BUT THROUGH THE COURTS. They seek to control the courts because they can not win victories in the arena of ideas or democracy, they must us fiat to impose their views and values on us. They are tyrants - they are evildoes - who promote the bidding of the corrupt cherub - SATAN.

The Forces of Evil are free upon this land - The Revolution of Moral Nihilism has had its way for seven decades plus, and it time we STAND UP - TAKE A STAND.

Make no mistake about it folks, the fascist/communist left in this nation is a representative of the Chief Cherub himself. They parade around under new names, but they are the same old gods seeking to reign terror on us all. They seek to corrupt and spoil our principalities and powers through corrupt politicians - they seek to control the courts in this nation as their means of domination over us.

Disclaimer: The views, opinions and ideas are those of the Southern Agrarian and do not represent those of any other organization. Today we are living in an America headed toward the darkness of paganism. I had studied this trend for years, but it was driven home and the clarity made perfect in my mind by Reverend Adrian Rodger's sermon the other day. While Pastor Rodgers as left us to be with God, his legacy is his words and I strongly recommend that all Americans listen to the sermon - "Standing Firm in a Pagan World." It will require you to sit down for about 36 minutes if you listen to the free version at the following location:

We - the U.S. - are accelerating away from a Christian Consensus. We are busily speeding down the road of life toward the belief that: (1) all religions teach the same basic thing and (2.) all religions are equal. This New Age religious belief does not teach us to be tolerant of each other but to march in lockstep, iron clad acceptance and approval: that is, Christianity is morally equivalant to Islam?

America, if you expect to continue living in our bright shining city on the hill envisioned by Ronald Reagan, then we must take up the banner of Christianity and present a credible response to this New Age belief system - this revolution of moral nihilism.

The bright shining city on the hill is being overrun with intellectualism and with the increasing numbers of intellectuals (psuedo intellectuals/babblers) the greater the cynicism grows. The bright shining city is in a constant state of "becoming," a propensity of never reaching its limits and the result will be domination - domination by the three pillars of paganism: Super Idolatry, Sterile Orthodoxy, and Sophisticated philosophies.

Bush was the first president to appoint a black as Secretary of State (Colin-Powell). He also appointed blacks as National Security Advisor (Condoleeza Rice), Secretary
of Education (Rod Paige), and Secretary of Housing and UrbanDevelopment (Alphonso Jackson).

With new programs established by President Bush, black home ownership is at an all-time high.
Of the 4 blacks who have ever been U.S. Senators, 3 were Republicans.

The 13th Amendment abolishing slavery passed Congress with the support of 100% of Republican members but with only 23% of the Democrat members.

When the 14th and 15thAmendments extending civil rights and voting rights to blacks passed, not even one (1) Democrat in Congress voted for those amendments.

Equal opportunity is a right and privilege. Texans should be able to start a business, run for office or chase a dream without the threat that government will punish success. Black Republicans are successful leaders in their communities and in Texas politics. The Republican Party of Texas is the political party that can best help all citizens achieve their
hopes and means.

To learn more, visit www.texasgop.org

Disclaimer: The views, opinions and ideas are my own and do not represent those of any other organization. As a Southerner, I detest segregationist Democrats - they are still segregationist - intellectual and cultural segregationists - seeking separate but NOT equal accommodations for the General Colin Powells, Condeleeza Rices, Justice Thomases, and Lt. Governor Michael Steeles of America. They seek to segregate conservatives from the world. The modern Democrat Party continues its fascist/communist (klansman) tradition as they apply the segregationist model to discriminate against those they deem inferior to their views and standing - that is segregation folks and as Southerners - we can no longer tolerate the consequences of the reactionary Democrat Party and its policies ... hey torture me, kill me but just don’t bore me with your leftist tripe...
